Northeast Ohio is unlikely to have a white Christmas. That forecast came on Tuesday from AccuWeather based in State College, Pa. AccuWeather based its forecast using the definition of at least 1 inch of snow on the ground.A snow storm early next week should blanket the northern Great Plains and the Upper Great Lakes, but that storm’s path is unclear and whether the cold will continue after the storm is uncertain, the weather forecasting agency said. There is a strong likelihood of snow in the Pennsylvania and West Virginia mountains, much of New York, parts of New England and in western mountains, it said.Historically, Northeast Ohio gets a white Christmas between 50 and 75 percent of the time, based on data from 1981-2001.
